Unless you have super-sensitive hands, you won’t be able to feel a grain of hair when measuring the performance. This is a topic for the latter part of the review. I already told you guys, “Braun has three cutting elements.” Two of these are SensoFoil blades.

With this shaver head, you can achieve a very close shave and less skipped hair while shaving. Since you’re switching from a manual razor, you will likely Philips Norelco Shaver need at least a couple of weeks to start getting good results. The first few shaves probably won’t go as smooth as you’d like, but just keep at it.
If you’re in a hurry, the quick charge function can come in handy. Charging the shaver for 5 minutes should provide just enough juice to complete a shave. To this end, I would recommend avoiding any Series 5 models that do not come with a cleaning station. I’ll be straight up, the cleaning station takes all the hassle away from cleaning your shaver.

It would suit guys that shave every two days and don’t really have course hair. Gents that shave their heads every 2 or 3 days may find may also find it a good purchase. The most common complaint is how much effort has to be made and the time it takes to shave fully when users had quite a bit of growth. And as I have experienced some users mention how some hairs are just not picked up by the shaver. Some users may not appreciate having to attach the trimmer.
These attachments are easily clipped on and off just like the blade head mentioned above. I only shave every 2 or 3 days (I’m retired and can get away with that). Unfortunately, if I do that this razor does not cut all the beard growth and leaves hairs. You have to go over repeatedly, or in my case, go over with my old Norelco I wanted to replace. If I shave again the next day, I am happy with this Braun, otherwise it is a disappointment. The Li-ion battery will ensure up to 50 minutes worth of cordless use, with the option of a 5-minute quick charge function.
However, most users won’t have that possibility and they’ll have to clean the shaver manually. The 3 cutting elements also don’t protrude as much and while they do move independently, the range of motion is quite short and the movement is a bit jerky. Secondly, the head of the 5018s is fixed, so you’ll have to work a bit more in order to maintain the foils flat on the skin. I had to switch to the beard trimmer and cut them — this is when I also missed having an integrated trimmer that I could just extend and use. First of all, I had to use even slower strokes to avoid hairs getting pulled. On a short beard, it wasn’t usually a problem, but in this situation more attention was needed.
