It can tackle messes on hard floors like tile, linoleum, wood, or laminate, as well as carpets, rubber floor mats, and area rugs. Its 36V lithium-ion battery gives you about 30 minutes of cordless cleaning power and convenience. This multi-surface cleaner is smooth to use, with great suction whether going over pet hair or cleaning spillages.

After using this machine you will want to press and hold the button that looks like a fan, just under the display, and it will begin a 30-second self-clean. You will still have to empty water tanks and clean brushes, but this does help along the way as it flushes out dirt, hair and debris from the appliance and brush roll. Once finished you’ll want to grab and empty both water tanks – be prepared for what you’ll find in the dirty tank – and with the dirty tank, remove the filter and clean it thoroughly. Then, take out the rotating brush bar and give it a good clean under your tap.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After spending over $300 we were hoping for an all in one vacuum and floor cleaner. We just used it on our hardwood and tile floors and there is wet pet hair everywhere. irobot vacuum cleaner So now we have to wait for it to dry and bring out the old busted duster vacuum and do it all over again. The product does not do what it says for hardwoods and tile if you have short hair dogs like a black lab.

It saved a ton of closet space by not having to keep both my vacuum and mop easily accessible. The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max does an okay job of handling debris in cracks. The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max’s performance on low-pile carpet is poor. It has a hard time with both fine debris like baking soda and larger material like sand on this surface type. We have a large area of tiled floor and a mastiff who sheds.

As with its sibling, the Bissell CrossWave Cordless Max can tackle hard floors as well as rugs and carpets. I was super impressed by the way it miraculously removed all traces of pet hair and ketchup, returning the brush to near new condition after just one cleaning binge. I just wish Bissell could improve the interface between the cleaner and cleaning base because the current method is way too clunky. You can use it on your floors, linoleum, wood, tile, and rugs — wet, dry or yep, even both at the same time for a deeper clean.

We think that this multi-surface cleaner performs very well on low-pile carpets and rugs. It manages to remove an impressive amount of debris while leaving your floors looking practically brand new. Though impressive on low-pile carpets and rugs, we didn’t find that it did an incredible job on high-pile rugs. This is understandable, as these rugs ideally need to be taken to the dry cleaners. With the touch of a button, you can seamlessly switch from cleaning hard floors to vacuuming and refreshing your area rugs, all with one machine.
