The Max’s real-world suction performance is poor. It uses a less powerful suction motor than the corded BISSELL CrossWave Pet Pro and is likely to have more trouble drawing out debris wedged deep within cracks and crevices. Like the corded model, swapping between the ‘Hard Floor’ and ‘Area Rug’ modes doesn’t impact suction performance, as these settings don’t alter brushroll height or motor output.
Whatever, it’s a strangely attractive thing – for a mop. The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max 2554 and Dyson Omni-glide are differently-designed vacuums with differing intended use cases, though they’re both meant for cleaning bare floors. The Dyson is a uniquely-designed stick vacuum with a rotating twin-brushroll head.

Unlike dedicated dry vacuums and carpet cleaners, this appliance will not be as powerful as the aforementioned, but rather for general, daily use. The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max 2554 and BISSELL CrossWave Pet Pro each have distinct advantages, meaning one might suit you better than the other, depending on your needs. Both vacuums use similar detergent-dispersal functions and do a good job of dealing with dried-on stains as well as liquid spills. They’re also pretty similar in terms of dimensions and overall weight.
It also lacks a HEPA filter, and some allergens can escape from its exhaust. Vacuum, mop and dry hard floors and area rugs at the same time, for quicker cleaning of various wet and dry messes, liquid spills and larger dry debris like cereal. Cleverly, there’s a filter in the dirty water tank, which separates the larger bits of debris and pet hair from the water. You can just pull out this filter and throw away the dirt, pouring just dirty water away down the sink, without fear of causing a blockage. Both the tank and its filter can be easily rinsed clean. After being impressed with the Bissell CrossWave Cordless hard floor cleaner, the company is back with a lighter, more powerful model.
Running the cleaner through on vacuum mode, it picked up most of it when running the head along the skirting. Bissell says that the edge performance is 60% better here than on the CrossWave Cordless – and it would appear so; there was just a small trace of dirt left to be collected. This is much easier to maneuver and is much more quiet.

Simply fill the top container to the fresh water line of choice and pour in the provided Bissell cleaning solution up to the second line, about one centimetre above . Clean all types of floors with this all-in-one multi-surface cleaner without the hassle of cords. A dual-action brush roll and a two-tank water system means you only need one cleaning tool to tackle hardwood floors, carpets and area rugs. The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max is reasonably maneuverable. Its floorhead pivots, allowing you to maneuver around obstacles pretty easily. It can be hard to push around on low and high-pile rugs, as its brushroll can get bogged down on carpet fibers pretty easily.
It feels lightweight in your hand, while its cordless design ensures you won’t trip over a power cord. It performs remarkably well on bare surfaces, though it can have a hard time on low-pile carpeting. The dyson robot vacuum Max isn’t suitable for cleaning high-pile carpet. It doesn’t have enough power to keep its brushroll spinning on dense high-pile carpeting, and its relatively weak suction motor can’t draw debris from carpet fibers. So, as we have mentioned, this machine comes with a 3-in-1 docking station for storing. You will need to put this docking station next to a plug socket.
I still have to schedule out time to make sure that my carpet gets a thorough deep cleaning. However, the Crosswave Max is a close second if you don’t have the chance to go through the work of shampooing. The shark cordless Max does a great job of sucking up water.
