As long as they are properly sealed and sufficiently dried, they should be fine. You run more of a risk if there is still any moisture left with the peppers. If they are completely dried from the smoking process, they’ll last for years, though they can lose potency after a while. Keith, dehydrated food is essentially preserved, as all moisture is removed from it. It doesn’t need to be canned, but does need to be sealed in airtight containers or bags and kept in a cool, dark place, like a pantry.
This is the best tasting stuff. Had some chickpeas and was going to try my hand at making hummus. Never tried tahini prior to this, but needed it to make the hummus. Tried a mini chopper at first then switched to a blender. The addition of the salt made a world of difference! Found myself nibbling on the tahini along with whole wheat crackers at midnight.

The dry rub for these chicken wings is so simple with our go-to spices for baked, sautéed or air fried chicken. All you need is garlic salt and lemon pepper. Seasoned with tasty spices like garlic, Italian seasoning and chili powder and perfectly cooked in the air fryer.
Cumin is smaller and easier to grind than cinnamon, but it has challenges of its own. When grinding cumin by hand, tough fibers often remain. The tiny seeds can also easily become lodged beneath the blades of an electric grinder.
They can even overlap a tad because there is more shrinking than you would think. I hope I didn’t miss it, but have you every done this with poblanos to make dried ancho chile peppers? I use these a lot making my own chili powder, various Mexican and Tex-Mex dishes. My garden produced an abundance of poblano this year, so I am “blessed”. 1 pound of fresh chili peppers will yield about 4 ounces of dried chili pepper pods.
