Keurig sell a separate universal reusable filter basket called the My K Cup. To use it, you remove the grey adapter (for older Keurig 2.0 coffee makers). Turn the lid counter clockwise to unlock and remove the filter basket. Fill with ground coffee to the max line, replace the lid and lock it in place. The T55 is a high-quality brewing system with reliable construction.

What really does it for me though is the brew strength selector – that’s what makes this machine better. I feel obligated to say the new K-Mini Plus is best.
The Keurig K-Slim has a similar price tag to the K-Mini Plus. However, the K-Slim’s water tank is a far larger 46oz, meaning you won’t need to refill it between each brew. On the other hand, the Keurig K-Mini Plus only brews one cup of coffee at a time. However, the Keurig Slim doesn’t have the “Strong Brew” function offered by the K-Mini Plus, so it might not be the best option for you if you like robust coffee. As the dimensions above reveal, the machines are incredibly compact, while they each weigh just 4.6lbs, too. Therefore, they’re ideal for even the smallest countertop space.

Repeat speedReflects how quickly the machine produces a second cup.
Because it uses K-Cups, the coffee is already perfectly ground and measured for the ideal cup of joe. The steps are as simple as inserting the cup and hitting the “go” button. This machine is a very small, convenient size perfect for small spaces and single homes.
Not only does it brew coffee super quickly, but it can also make espresso and cappuccinos. The water reservoir is removable, holds more water, and has a water filter offer. This machine is larger than the K Mini, though, so it may not be ideal if you don’t have a lot of counter space. You also get a water reservoir where your brew cup consists of 100% of what is in the reservoir when you press the brew button. Minimum amount of water is 6-ounces, maximum is 12-ounces.
Brewing your coffee at home using pods and an espresso machine can be a convenient way to make … If you want something nicer, you will really have to consider a machine that doesn’t use pods. They are more hassle for a better product – it’s up to you how ready you are to make that trade off.
The Keurig K-Mini will definitely save you a ton of money and time in the morning. And you won’t need to sit in that Starbucks line either. The top of the Keurig K-Mini Plus has a “Strong” button. It may seem a small difference, but this is pivotal to the brew quality. We test every product and want you to love what you buy.
The point is that sometimes the differences are minute, and it comes down to price and how that affects options. This is usually a strike for me – I see no reason that a coffee machine would ever need to rely on pods. If you are going to buy a single-serve Keurig machine then you may as well spend the extra money to get one with removable parts that make it easier to clean. Even a water reservoir will get dirty after a while, and being able to remove that and clean it is worth a few bucks.
