We encourage you to order free at-home tests from COVID.gov, check with your local pharmacy for at-home test kits, or visit a community testing site for free testing services. You may also contact your doctor or primary healthcare provider about scheduling a test, or contact your local or tribal health department for assistance locating tests in your community. All health centers and Medicare-certified rural health clinics are eligible to receive and distribute at-home self-tests to their communities, and to conduct point-of-care tests in the primary care setting. This is to support greater COVID-19 mitigation efforts and to ensure that those most at risk for COVID-19 have access to at-home self-testing and point-of-care testing supplies. Consumers can find out from their plan or insurer if it provides direct coverage of over-the-counter COVID-19 tests through such a program or whether they will need to submit a claim for reimbursement.
