Is the Soup Maker a “Thermomix competitor?”

The fascinating appliance combines a blender with a small heating plate which can saute vegetables and cook soup in 30 minutes. I know crushing and grinding is going to be noisy but why does stirring have to be? My husband is not as enamoured of the thermomix as I am and it constantly annoys him. He actually leaves the room if I am cooking in it. Also I’d add an option to have a soft or no alarm.
