Q Series

If I hated how it heated up or something, I would have said so. However, I brought it up specifically because you stated you “were expected to write a review” and it is an expensive product. The ability of keeping an unbiased review would be tainted by receiving and keeping an expensive product regardless of whether they call it a gift.

As for the rest of the grill, because it’s designed to drain grease out of the bottom, a simple wipe with a soft cloth and warm soapy water is really all it needs. The best time to do this is before the Weber has completely cooled down. Even with only 8500 BTU’s, it can easily reach temperatures of 500° – 550° F on the highest setting.

Furthermore, Weber designed this grill to handle larger cooking capacity along with being portable. It has a cooking space of 280 square inches and its grills are split into two, allowing you to swap them for a griddle accessory. The grill has a dimension of 25.1×51.4×26 inches with the lids which shows that its larger cooking weber charcoal grill space does not affect its portability. If you are looking for a Weber grill that will accommodate food for more people, then look no further than Q2000. It combines some of the best features to give you the best possible grill for your BBQ experience. To start with, it has the same construction as the previous models.

The Q3200 is the only grill out of the Weber Q Series with a warming rack, something rarely seen in my reviews. Those accustomed to cooking on a full-sized grill know that a warming rack makes a difference to your barbecuing. They both accept both the 14.1oz and 16.4oz disposable propane bottles. An adaptor hose can easily convert to a 20lb propane tank. This is far more cost-effective and won’t leave you running out of propane halfway through cooking a meal. This is a grill that was designed to last for years, which really should be no surprise if you have seen any of Weber’s products.

You can set up or collapse the grill with one hand while you are holding a beer in another. The grill has a red rubber latch to keep the legs closed and a retractable lid latch that holds the lid in place during transport. To get the same portability for the Q2200 that you get with the Traveler then you will need to buy the portable cart separately for about $100. The biggest differences between these grills are price, styling, construction and portability. Gas canister or use an adapter hose to connect to a larger tank .

With removable catch pans, you can clean the grease quite easily. The grill works on disposable liquid propane cylinders of 14.1 or 16.4 ounces and starts up by just pressing the ignition button. Apart from this, the infinite control valve setting allows you to control the temperature of the grill easily. With large control knobs, ergonomic handles, removable catch pans, and sturdy cradles, Q2000 is quite user-friendly. As far as I’m concerned, Weber is the standard for quality consumer grills at the mid to upper mid-range price category and so my expectations for its products are high. The Weber Traveler portable gas grill didn’t disappoint and I think this a solid value at $325. It’s a sturdily built unit that comes together in a snap and portable bbq is completely user-friendly to boot. If you’ve never grilled a single day in your life, I still don’t think you have any problems assembling and operating this grill. The Traveler got and stayed nice and hot and controlling the temperature — while not perfectly precise — was fine for the type of grilling most people do.

Choose from small, bare-bones models or full-sized models with all of the bells and whistles. If you have a Phillips-head screwdriver and a can-do attitude, you’ll be able to set up the 2200 Grill in a matter of minutes. After pulling the grill and its pieces out of the box, I attached the lid using the included pins and screwed on the grill’s handle and thermometer.

I bought it when I started this site back in 2011, and it actually was the reason I created this website. JustPortableGrills.com has become a leading resource for many shoppers looking for a portable grill to suit their needs. Negative complaints I saw were mostly from people who weber charcoal grill received bum regulators, or who hadn’t read the owners’ manual. One reviewer gave it one star because he/she couldn’t find a place that sold the propane, though I’m sure they couldn’t have looked very hard. Disposable drip pan liners are sold in sets of 10 for around $6-$8.
