Using the Weber Q in Color Gas Grill

Webers are not cheap, but when you consider that they last decades, the price is easy to justify. Many some cheap grills fall apart after three years or so. Heat Flux is the BTU per square inch and is a more useful measure of how much heat a grill delivers than BTU alone. These small cookers make travel easy, but obviously limit the amount and size of what can be cooked.

I began writing about Barbecue & Grilling in 1997 with one mission, to help the backyard chef have the best experience possible. Whether it is deciding which grill or smoker to buy or how to get that perfect steak, this is why this site exists. I live in Brooklyn where I write about food subscriptions, cooking, kitchen gadgets and commerce. Anything with sesame is my all-time favorite food this week. The Orson Gygi Company has evolved from a restaurant wholesale kitchen supply store, to a shopping experience for anyone searching for anything kitchen. The last significant issue with the grill is that while this is a two burner grill there is no easy way to set up the grill for indirect cooking.

It’s also large enough to be your permanent, everyday home grill. Speaking of surface size, at 320 square inches of grilling space, this has more than enough capacity for any grilling situation I find myself in. Weber says it holds 15 burgers at once but I suspect that would be a tight fit.

In fact, some of its weight can actually be forgiven due to how well constructed this gas grill is. To begin with, the main structure is made from heat resistant reinforced nylon. Then, you have the cast aluminum lid that holds up just as well. An improved porcelain enamel finish extends the life of the 189-square-inch cast iron grate for long-term use. Split grates simplify cleaning and allow the use of optional accessories like a griddle over one side of the burner.

It uses 1560-watts of power for its heating element and can heat up to 280 square inches of cooking space in no time. Added to this, it comes fully assembled and features infinite burner control for easier maintenance of the grill’s weber charcoal grill temperature. This model, like the Q1000 grill, has a cast-aluminum lid and body while the burner is made of stainless steel. Apart from this, the porcelain-coated cast-iron cooking grates and glass nylon frame made it durable.

Since then Weber, like many others, has outsourced manufacturing of more product lines. Things change, but we believe Weber’s commitment to quality and innovation has not. Simply choose date & time option that fit your schedule.

The significant difference between the Q3200’s compared to the Q1000 and Q2000 series is that they are not really portable. These two grills come with a stationary stand that the grill unit bolts onto. Size-wise and feature-wise, the weber charcoal grill1400 is identical to the Weber Q1000, and the Q2400 is the same size as the Q2000. The major exceptions are that neither model has a button to light it since they do not use gas fuel. Ideal for cooking hotdogs, hamburgers, chicken, steaks, and veggies.
