Another thing that makes it more enjoyable to fly are the stronger motors. It makes the drone able to sustain high winds on par with some of the more powerful DJI drones, like the Mavic 2 Pro and Zoom. At no point during my testing was I ever worried about losing control.
It performs extremely well, in all three flight modes. It’s hard to over-emphasize the improvement to the Mini 2 package made by the change in the controller. The original Mini sported a plastic, fold-out model that had a video game look and feel, but new the Mini 2 design has proper heft and is stronger in build. On the front face, aside from the toggles, an RTH/pause button sits with a switch for the three flight modes, and two small function buttons.
It only refers to the maximum, one-way flight distance without considering Return to Home. Always follow local rules and regulations and fly your drone within your visual line of sight unless otherwise permitted. It may be small, but this drone packs a ton of power. With a max battery life of 31 minutes, DJI Mini 2 grants more than enough time to compose the perfect shot. True Vertical Shooting is where DJI Mini 3 Pro has the advantage over the rest.
Simply connect the aircraft with the battery charger to activate the battery and begin using. After activating the battery, press the power button once and then press and hold to turn on the aircraft. Be aware, this does not come with onboard storage or an SD card, you will need an SD card to take phantom 4 and save high quality videos/photos. DJI does have a decent track record of bringing useful software updates to its products. The first Mavic Mini received a massive upgrade last year which enabled things like the cinelike profile and added the ability to take RAW photos in addition to JPG.
When your phone is close to DJI Mini 2, you can automatically download photos and videos at a speed of 20 MB/s. And the best part is that you don’t even have to be connected to your remote controller. DJI Mini 2 is beginner-friendly, powerful, and well, mini. Impressive performance, stunning image quality, and creative videos are just a few taps away.
Also, smaller drones are just way more fun to fly, and this one actually doesn’t sound too loud. Smaller drones tend to have a very high-pitched noise, but you don’t get that with the Mini 2 until you fly it in speedy sport mode. And though it obviously has a worse camera than DJI’s bigger phantom 4 drones, it’s still a very good camera. I underestimated the Mini 2 at first, but I soon discovered a ton of little improvements that make this new $449 drone a perfect package for a content creator on the go. Data is tested under different standards in open areas free of interference.
Discover a whole new perspective and capture the moments that define your life. DJI Mini 2 has updated the camera to 4K, added Raw imaging, and ever so slightly upped flight time per charge. For €50 more than the first version, the DJI Mini 2 is a better entry-level drone. If you’re just getting started, and don’t want to spend closer to €1,000 on a drone and accessories, the Mini 2 is absolutely worth considering. Motors, image transmission, camera performance, intelligent features, and user experience have all improved significantly.
DJI Mini 2 has a max flight time of 31 minutes and can resist winds up to kph, making it easier to fly in varying locations and conditions. This is a drone designed to allow you to explore the skies and see everything in a completely new way. Developed with one of the best cameras so far, it supports4K image quality, one of the highest you’ll find at the moment. With its video transmission system OcuSync 2.0, it provides up to 10 km range. Plus, it is very resistant to interference so it can fly farther and better. The result will be great with its 12 Mp camera that will allow you to enjoy impressive content from the sky.
It’s a drone that I never hesitate to toss in my camera bag. The old saying that the best camera is the one you have with you is just as true when that camera is attached to a drone. There is one more downside to this camera and that is the lack of support for ND filters. I’ve seen some third-party options online, but the camera isn’t designed for them.
