It’s supposed to slide in underneath the grill body, but the pan that came with my grill was the tiniest bit too big and wouldn’t slide into the grooves. I tried everything I could think of—rotating it, bending it, putting it in from the other side—and it simply wouldn’t fit. While a majority share of Weber-Stephen Products LLC was sold to BDT Capital Partners in 2010, the acquisition did not include restaurant operations. While both the restaurants and outdoor cooking equipment maintain the Weber branding, two separate companies now exist. The restaurants remain solely owned by the Stephen family. The Weber Q 1200 Gas Grill is a great little grill with big grill capability. It is very portable, very easy to use, and very easy to keep clean. The cooking surface rivals that of a larger full-sized grill.
I like the size, but it would have been nice to have a substantial base (I’ve read the reviews) so that we could easily maneuver it around the yard to different areas. Not taking it camping, but didn’t want a massive portable bbq bbq taking up space. Preheats quickly; cooks evenly, plenty of room for grilling an entire meal or 2, or sides for a larger crowd. This Q 3200 is a two burner, cart mounted grill that, in my opinion, looks sharp.
They both accept both the 14.1oz and 16.4oz disposable propane bottles. An adaptor hose can easily convert to a 20lb propane tank. This is far more cost-effective and won’t leave you running out of propane halfway through cooking a meal.
You will never have an accurate read-out of the temperature. For the most accurate results use an infrared thermometer. Replacement grates for griddle side, allows you to grill and griddle at the same time. If you are buying this as a travel companion to sporting events then this info can give you some perspective as to what dimensions your vehicle can accommodate.
