Mongoose Bmx Bikes

In celebration of its iconic Supergoose and California Special designs, Mongoose is resurrecting each bike as part of its upcoming Classics Collection. The former, based on the 1984 loop-tail frame, will be a near-perfect replica of the original. As such, it’ll be built using 4130 Chromoly tubing with Pro Class rims and handlebars, Dia-Compe MX brakes and levers, as well as some tires, pads, and grips done up in classic schwinn bicycles colors. Assuming you’re after a frame with a bit more presence, however, the California Special should do just the ticket. Modeled after the 1983 bike design, it comes with a beefy Hi-Ten steel construction, Pro Series handlebar and top tube pads, and some bright snake belly tires. As if that wasn’t enough, though, Mongoose will be shipping each bike in an ’80s-inspired box with classic period-correct artwork.
