I’m pleased to say it has lived up to the expectations of an Alen product. As I am a light sleeper, I thought utilizing the purifier in the bedroom would be a no-go area. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find, on the lowest setting it is barely noticeable. I also had no issues on the second lowest setting either, which may have even helped send me off to sleep with its gentle ASMR-esq pink noise hum.

Regular changing of your filter is important to maintain optimal air purifying, and these… While not the cheapest, filters should last you a full year of use. The Classic is a very reliable model but it’s better to be safe than sorry. At the top fan speed setting, the noise levels rise to 56 dB which is not ideal. Granted, the smaller Alen BreatheSmart FLEX also has 55 dB noise levels at Turbo Speed but the new 45i and 75i models have managed to reduce that number to 49 dB, a considerable difference.
