When the level indicator blinks red, the cartridge needs to be replaced – about every 4 weeks when used daily. Hold the C&C with one hand and tilt the shaver slightly to the front to release it. Charging will start Braun Series 5 automatically when the shaver has been placed in properly. The contacts on the back of the shaver need to align with the contacts in the C&C. A beep sound confirms that the shaver sits properly in the C&C.
Unfortunately, the Series 5 charger cord is the shortest of any major shaver brands. As I mentioned earlier in the review, you can lock the shaving unit into one of 5 different positions using the big button on the front of the shaver.
