This grill uses a standard, 20-pound liquid propane tank, and it cannot be converted to use natural gas. This plucky little grill is a great example of informed design. It sets up quickly and includes a separate prep table formed from the detachable base and top cover, which doubles as a cutting board. The cast iron grates offer 154 square inches of cooking space, which is enough for a half-dozen burgers at once. The grates lift off for easy cleaning when the cooking is done.
A buildup of non-ignited gas inside a closed grill is hazardous. Inspect the LP gas cylinder valve rubber seal for cracks, wear, or deterioration prior to each use. A damaged rubber seal can cause a gas leak, possibly resulting in an explosion, fire, or severe bodily harm. Do not store objects or materials inside the grill cart enclosure that would block the flow of combustion air to the underside of either the control panel or the firebox bowl. Close the LP cylinder valve immediately and retighten connections.
Always close the LP cylinder valve after performing the leak test by turning the handwheel clockwise. Hand-tighten the coupling nut, holding regulator in a straight line with LP cylinder valve so as not to cross-thread the connection. The dealer should NEVER fill LP cylinder more than 80% of LP cylinder volume. The volume of propane in the cylinder will vary by temperature. This OPD safety feature is identified by a unique triangular handwheel.
