My partner has been using Sanyo SV-M730 for quite some years, it looks quite a simple shaver without advanced function (the shaving head doesn’t allow movement at all). The station model number is actually 5434, not 5435 and it will work with your Series 5. Regarding the Series 6, I recommend reading this part of my comparison where I go into more details. I personally like the Series 6 more, mainly because of the flexing head, but the performance overall is very similar. I wouldn’t recommend it to users with coarse, wiry hair or if you plan on shaving every three days for example. Finally, the foil frame is unnecessarily wide and the head just doesn’t glide as easily on the skin.
Series 5 is on par with Series 7 in terms of shaving closeness. With almost the same cutting elements, shavers from both series can satisfy most men. They do not deliver the closest shave in the category of foil Philips Norelco Shaver shavers but are still at the top of the class.
