I’d like to know why perfect strangers feel free to make derogatory comments about my choice of coat. It was fine from mid October until near the end of November, but when temperatures went down below freezing, my arms were cold. I also had cold spots in my shoulders and chest. As for Canada Goose….I probably paid the same price in 1988 for my Far West as a new CG in today’s funds. And if you’re having trouble keeping warm in only minus 17 degC weather when wearing multiple layers, then I’d say you’re doing something terribly wrong. I agreed with him (ie minus 20 + wind). They use coyote fur for the trim around the hood. How they get that fur is cruel torture of these coyotes which are in pain days before they will be killed for a coat.
To those who have complained of lesser quality with CG, I’m thinking the “fashion” items aren’t as well made as the ones we get up here as there are different styles of coat. The product is well worth it and nothing beats it. If you’re going to be in the cold and you don’t want to be cold, then go CG. Was waiting out Northern Store in Moosonee for the doors to open one evening for Midnight Madness. Looked around at what people waiting in the cold were wearing. Not sure I saw a single Canada Goose jacket.
