The opening is a bit of knock out, and don’t be afraid if it puts you off at first. The herbs and the lemon pretty much punch you in the face. But very soon the citrus evaporates, and the herbs get more complex and – whether it’s basil, or rosemary, there’s hardly any sweetness.
This opens up with a faint citrus note, then morphs into a smooth floral blend, primarily the powdery iris vibe. This is more for the younger crowd but could be worn by all ages. Best suited for the cooler weather, don’t wear this in the high summer heat. Different names are used to describe the concentration of the pure perfume oil in the fragrance. The higher the concentration of pure perfume oil – the greater the strength of the fragrance.
But maybe is the effect of the moss, vetiver and rosemary. I love the aromatic feel it gives to the composition. The opening notes are all about citrus and bergamot. After these top notes fleet away- which is normal-i get a feel of soapy aldehydes even they are not existing on the note chart. I can actually tell that you feel it from the beginning hidden by the citruses.
I stumbled upon it in a department store, I was buying something else and just sprayed this on the way out without thinking much. O de reminds me of Azemour Les Orangers by Parfum d’Empire, but without the bitterness of cypress. Since I found an almost full bottle of O for a great price, I bought it instead of Azemour, I feel at this time I don’t need them both in my collection. I finally got around to testing the current version of this at the mall today, and I was really surprised! It’s not citrusy and not what I was expecting at all.
Eau de Toilette Contains 5–15% perfume oils. This is the most common strength sold in men’s fragrance but is also used for women’s fragrances. On the other hand, some of the more affordable designer fragrances Estee Lauder makeup we tested, smelled amazing, had high quality ingredients and were super long lasting. Some scents are best suited towards casual wear, some for the office, and some for romantic date settings.
This review is for a 1970s vintage bottle. I bought this blind because I found it at a good Estee Lauder makeup price and liked the lemon lime description. When I first sprayed it I didn’t like it.
I also find Ô de Lancôme to be totally unisex – there’s really nothing feminine or overtly masculine about it, so anyone can wear Ô de Lancôme easily. I never got back that amazing refreshing zing, although it certainly hits out with a strong citrus punch, but it fades fast too. To be fair, it’s not a winter fragrance and it may come into its own again in summer, I hope so anyway. Call me unprofessional, but this is terrible on me. It smells like I’ve spend a day rubbing grass and pond scum on my skin. I probably will just donate this to Goodwill.

Somehow, somewhere, I had already sniffed it . After making sure that it wasn’t one of the scents my deceased aunt or grandmother would have worn, I kept searching. I knew this scent; I knew I’d stumbled upon it before! Tonight, I sprayed my pillow with some of this and it suddenly just hit me. I can’t say that I understand the masculine references here. To me O de Lancome is girly and somewhat sweet, in other words something I can’t imagine a man wearing.
I have a mini Ô de Lancôme EDT, and I don’t like at all. For me it has this unpleasant musty smell, sorry. I’ve been researching for a summery perfume for myself today. Got it down to a short list of three I wanted to try, with this perfume being on the list. The aromatic vibe is due also to the spices and a few beautiful flower in it. It’s a perfume that is more complex than one might think at first.
