Dyson 360 Heurist Review

And, as the label on the top of the machine says, the new vac will be powered by one of Dyson’s new “Hyperdymium” motors. This is the name that Dyson has given to its new brushless motor, which allows it to create powerful, lightweight machines. How long they will work before you need to empty them depends on the size of your home bissell crosswave cordless and how messy the people living there are. But expect to empty them every 1-3 runs and you won’t be disappointed. The EufyHome app is as intuitive as we would like, and – once we switched our router to the correct bandwidth (it only likes 2.4GHz) – we were able to connect, control, add schedules and do spot-cleans with ease.

Whether it’s worth that much money to pick up a 360 Eye will depend on your commitment to achieving a clean house without being too personally involved in the process. I actually ultimately stopped using my Roomba, which cost considerably less, because it wasn’t really effective enough to deal with the trade-offs. The 360 Eye has been a much more effective cleaning companion over the past couple of weeks.

While long runtime and useful mop are great to have at this price too. On the top of the unit you’ll find the familiar dome housing a 360-degree camera. The robot uses this for navigation, as opposed to LiDAR, used by much of the competition. No data is transmitted to the cloud, and there’s no option to view the live feed, so anyone worried about privacy or security can rest easy.

The Micro is as compact as Dyson gets but its diminutive size is deceptive as it gets the job done over the course of its 20-minute battery life. The 0.2-litre capacity isn’t all that sizeable but should carry you through in smaller living spaces or if used for single-room cleaning. The Roomba’s run time is 75 minutes, but charge time is only 90 minutes, so you can schedule it to clean up twice a day or more.

dyson robot vacuum

It turns off the suction and brush bar when it’s driving too and from the base station, and also while it pauses and works out ways around objects. As the 360 Heurist costs £799.99 in the UK, we’d expect the new robot vacuum cleaner to come in at a similar – or slightly higher – price point. In the US, we would anticipate a price point of $1,099.99 or more. 2000Pa has fast become the norm when it comes to the suction power of the best robot vacuums. So, if your budget allows, we’d recommend looking for vacs around this number.

In practice it works pretty well, although the idea you won’t have to tidy up before the vacuum does its rounds remains farfetched. Our review unit occasionally got stuck on power cables and the odd child’s sock, but we received significantly fewer error/stuck messages than we did from the Dyson and the Miele.
