The Max models use solution from the clean water tank whereas the Crosswave cordless models use water from the docking tray. Do not use it just to clean your hardwood flooring. Using it for only that is just a waste when it gives a thorough cleaning to every floor.
The iFloor also boasts Spot mode, which gives homeowners the power to clean up those tough stuck-on messes and grime. If it is a steam cleaner, the heat and the pad has to be gentle. If it’s a spray mop, the pad and cleaning solution has to be gentle.
It’s great because the BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max can be used on multi-surfaces. It’s safe to use on tile, sealed wood floors, laminate, linoleum, rubber floor mats, pressed wood floors, and more. Plus, it i can get those hard to reach places with improved edge cleaning. Next up is the Tineco iFloor 3, which also comes with a spinning brush roll, but this time, suction power has been increased. The iFloor 3 puts up 2.5 times the suction power of the iFloor, which means deeper cleaning, especially on hard floors with stubborn stains and stuck-on dirt. Besides the improved suction, the Tineco iFloor 3 comes with true HEPA filters, which filter down to 0.3 microns.
This one is a cordless wet and dry vacuum, so if you don’t want to be limited by a power cord, this is the best bang for the buck if you solely want to stick to Bissell CrossWave. It’s suitable for handling pet hair, just like the CrossWave Pet Pro. It is also a smart vacuum with app operation and an automatic self-cleaning cycle. Tineco was known for its series of stick vacuums, but the company has ventured into wet and dry vacuums, dubbed the Tineco iFloor series.
It costs $249.99 in the US and £249.99 in the UK as well. That’s about AU$350 in Australia, but we’ve yet to hear if the cleaner will officially be made available there. Tineco vacuums are made by ECOVACS Robotics Group, the same company behind Deebot robot vacuums.
On running out of power, the CrossWave Cordless Max takes four hours to recharge. Depending on the size of your home, then, you may need to schedule your cleaning over a couple of days. Handy LED lights at the front shark cordless of the Cordless Max illuminate the area you’re cleaning, so you’re unlikely to miss any dirt. Manoeuvrability is good, with the jointed head letting you sweep around and through bits of furniture and chairs.
If you are using that specific item, of course, it is good for hardwood floors. The cleaning solution by Bona is also specially made to clean the hardwood surface. It is gentle but effective in cleaning the obstinate stains. With a single sweep, you can feel the difference.
It will help increase the vacuum cleaner’s lifespan. If a steam mop is designed for cleaning the hardwood, it will be safe. You can clean the dirt and dust by dry dusting and once in a while, mopping. But the stains will remain stuck on the surface forever unless you clean it thoroughly.

Bissell produces battery powered Crosswave wet dry vacuums as well as corded Crosswave models. Cleverly, there’s a filter in the dirty water tank, which separates the larger bits of debris and pet hair from the water. You can just pull out this filter and throw away the dirt, pouring just dirty water away down the sink, without fear of causing a blockage. Both the tank and its filter can be easily rinsed clean.
