This is a meditation scent – it invokes a feeling of well-being and calm within me that I have not yet experienced perfume. Maybe I’ll go and spray some in the upstairs hallway….. It smells of heated up warmed up vanilla as in vanilla in a vanilla latte.
It also smells like a certain medicine. If Pepto-Bismol had a vanilla version, this would be it. Hypnose is a gem, if you really dislike it, maybe give it one year, and you might discover a whole new perspective to it. I couldn’t stand some peculiar Estee Lauder makeup weird spicy notes a in Hypnose and find it strong in a odd way, but when I’m re-trying it, I simply like it a lot. If you’re like me and have a husband that is not crazy about perfume, well let me tell you this…this is a must have!!
I t does not ressemble to any sweet vanilla feminine perfume I know. The lasting strength and sillage are good, but I must advise you all that this fragrance should not be over-applied. Hypnose would make a lovely fragrance for the colder months and special occasions, however I would wear this casually myself. This is spicy, but only mildly so. Hypnose is mostly soft and slightly powdery vanilla, jasmine, passion flower, vetiver and bergamot. I first met you at the tender age of 16.

Before Hypnôse, Vanilla, in my eyes , had been safely put in the warm-cosy-edible section. Not sexy, and if sexy, then in a healthy, sane way. I was surprised and bewildered.
I always loved those twisted Magie bottles, and in fact, I was a bit disappointed to see it released in the rectangular bottle. Everything feels cold and slightly distant, just like some artificially sweetened cough syrup in a silver spoon, tasting like burnt crystallized sugar… But then there’s the ‘thing’, some note that transports you into a safe, happy, warm and nostalgic place. Soapy, powdery but with a sharp citrus white floral twist and a soft vanilla drydown. Not everyone will like it as it can be quite sharp and shocking, but I adore it.
