The camera on the DJI Air 2S has three different color profiles; the standard quality is reasonable but there isn’t much dynamic range on the colors, especially when you compare it side by side to the Mavic Air 2. However, the HLG and 10-bit DLog modes offer excellent color range and quality that does look better than the Mavic Air 2. He also mentions a number of areas in which the DJI Air 2S not only outperforms the Mavic Air 2 but also the higher end Mavic 2 Pro – particularly when it comes to its camera. There is no difference in range from the specs, but I’ll test it further side by side and make a video on the max range of all DJI Drones. With the Upgrade of the Mini 2 getting a 10 km range and Occusync 2.0 we can definitely say it finally got itself on a level where it can battle with the Air 2. Indeed the Air 2 comes with HDR photos, smart photos and such. However, keep in mind that the weight of the Air 2 also has some benefits, making it a more solid and sturdy drone in my opinion. On paper both drones handle the same amount of wind, both being rated at kph. In my opinion, the Mini 2 is the perfect drone for anyone who prioritizes the small form factor, portability and being able to not register the drone in most countries out there.
