Designed by Kikuo Ibe, the G-Shock focused on providing extremely durable digital watches at a consumer-grade price. During a time when most watches feature a traditional and sleek g shock watch design, the bulky and sporty looking G-Shock was a breath of fresh air to the watch market. Hence, its instant popularity to both the young customers and outdoor enthusiasts.
The band is stiff and not as flexible as it should be and the back of the watch needs some design improvements, it rubs the wrist and actually caused a cut to my wrist. Although I usually wear my watches loose, and after loosening this one even more it still was a real pain to wear for more than a few minutes. If you can’t wear it in comfort, then obviously it becomes one of my least favorite timepieces and that’s a shame for such a functional, stylish watch.
Casio’s main design goal for the Casio Pro Trek WSD F30 appears to be “make it smaller”. And while this follow-up is still large and bulky, it seems more a chunky watch, less a plastinated funeral pyre for some middle-aged man’s dwindling testosterone and hairline. To make the Casio Pro Trek WSD F30 last long enough for a weekend of trekking you have to limit its features, and only use navigation sparingly.
Pro Treks excel at outdoor expeditions due to the numerous functions they provide. The Casio Pro Trek PRW2500 Series are a great choice for any outdoor adventurer that expects more from their timepiece. The bezel has directional markings imprinted so you can take bearing measurements. You can swim, climb, run or hike the roughest environments while wearing this watch.
G-Shock is clearly one of the best collections of tactical watches on the market with excellent shock and water resistance and battery life. Pro-Trek makes affordable ABC watches and is the clear choice for serious outdoor activities. Offer an amazing product, capable of more functions than the typical watch. With some models powered completely by solar energy , batteries are no longer an issue with Pro Trek watches, making them a very cool, cost efficient and long lasting product. Typically most models include additions such as a barometer, thermometer, altimeter, and compass, making them useful for hikers or travelers.
Yes the PRG-300 just has Tough Solar while the PRW-3000 has Tough Solar and Multi-Band 6. They both have the barometric pressure tendency alarm that will alert you to sudden changes in pressure readings. The PRW-3000 is slightly slimmer at 12.3 mm vs 12.6 mm for the PRG-300. Well the PRW-3100 is actually the best slim and light model and currently positioned as the top all-digital Pro Trek in Japan but I left it out because it is import-only and more expensive. The strap for the PRW-3100 looks like it is interchangeable with the PRW-3000 (but I’m not 100% sure on that).
The Multi-band 6 atomic timekeeping function can receive high-sensitivity standard radio waves from 6 stations in the world… Introducing to you an absolutely unique overview of all baby g shock series that are on active sale now in 2020 [don’t worry, the material is being updated]. We’ve underlined the most distinctive features of the watch, but if you want to know all details you may easily find the necessary page. The LCD displays the moon data and the most suitable times for fishing on a given day. They are very similar in features but the PRG-600 does not have Multi-Band 6 timekeeping.
Besides being water-resistant, this watch is also designed for use in low-temperature environments for down to -10C. The Casio Protrek 7000X is jam-packed with features that will surely cover everything you need during your outdoor trip. The only downside is that this is quite an expensive watch and will be a serious investment, if not impractical for some. The Protrek 7000X is considered the flagship model of this series, and it is easy to see why. With top-quality construction and material, combined with an impressive array of features, the 7000X is the best outdoor digital watch money can buy.
Like most watches in Casio’s PRO TREK line, the PRT-B70 is a large watch at 50mm in diameter and 57mm lug-to-lug. No question it’s a bulky watch, but it’s light enough to forget about when wearing out on adventures. The pliable rubber strap is quite comfortable and a good match for the watch.
