In short, it’s not the most innovative juice in the world but it’s beautiful and I have found myself reaching for it almost every single day in the past weeks. I received a sample of this and was very curious since it seems so popular. This is youthful, innocent, and feminine. Idôle wasn’t made for me – it’s too fruity for my taste and is just too generic to elicit an emotional response, which is what I look for most in a fragrance. It does succeed at is being a safe everyday scent that smells pretty and fresh. Strong thick floral game here so I get that 80s-90s vibe going on.
I am a complete perfume noob, but when I smelled this perfume, it smelt like a lot of others. It gave me a headache, and stayed on my skin for a long time. Idôle by Lancome is a Chypre Floral fragrance for women.
Winter needs a stronger, more daring or rather obvious fragrance than Idôle. So it’s only a Estee Lauder NIGHT REPAIR like for me during the winters. I’ll keep this in my closet though until it’s June again.
If you love floral scents, then take a look at this one that Valentino is offering. It’s a warm fragrance that also has an edge to it, inspired by edgy Roman street culture. Jasmine genifique combines with bourbon vanilla for a modern, feminine fragrance that also reminds me of l’Intense. I immediately thought of this perfume when I read about Idôle l’Intense.
I think I was more excited with it being brand new than the actual smell itself. Really liked it at the start but now I am a bored with it. Probably won’t repurchase as it’s a bit pricey for just a ‘floral’ fragrance.
I did try this hoping for a generic, boring floral that would be easy to reach for but it’s just not my cup of tea. The smell is like a conglomeration of a million B&BW scents and it also reminds me a lot of NR For Her EDP but a little less mature. I think I would find this pleasant if I smelled it on someone else but I wouldn’t pay the designer price tag to smell like this. I normally like shampoo-y fragrances but I do think this one is a tad mature, I’m 25 and think this is better suited to 30s-40s and older. I’ve been having sample vials “forever”, but had never tried it. I saw a YouTube video on sexy fragrances and Idole was mentioned, so I thought I’d try it.
I sprayed it on about 7 hours ago and it is still very detectable. I also thought at first that it was too slim and posed a risk of falling until the mobile phone concept was explained to me. The bottle isn’t supposed to stand on its own, but rather sits flat like a phone does. The bottle feels wonderfully familiar to hold whilst being more beautiful than any mobile.
The scent starts out a bit over-fresh and sweet, but slightly synthetic, with both opposite poles quickly levelling out. The fragrance lives mostly from the pear-rose combination with chypry notes. If the opportunity arises, I would consider investing in a large bottle, since I can never get enough of pears and roses. When I first smelled this on a paper tester strip, all I could smell is rose and I didn’t think it was anything special. I’m glad I was able to try it on my skin, because now it smells totally different and I love it.

This fragrance makes me feel grown without smelling old. Living in South FL this is something really nice for how hot and sticky the summers are. A day or night wear depending on the season. Idole is a pretty, musky floral with an ever so slight sweetness. The vanilla makes an appearance in the opening on my skin, then quickly blends right in.
