Also, saltwater can be damaging to some watches that are water resistant. If a watch is ISO certified for water resistance of at least 100 meters, it can be classified as a dive watch. Watches with this classification will usually have the words “diver” somewhere on the watch. So if you want a true G-Shock diving watch, then that would be the one to get.
Another wgreat G Shock, in my opinion, anyway, is the GDX-6900, the XL version of the DW6900. The GDX has a 10-year battery, and the size is fine for my wrist. I have the blacked-out version, and have no problem reading the g shock protection negative display. I think it’s a discontinued model, but it’s a really nice watch and a great addition to my collection. G-Shock is the ultimate “bang for the buck” watch, but that’s especially true for the cheaper models.
