One of the most common watch models among the military is now available in a more consumer-friendly edition. With prominent Arabic numerals that almost decorate the critical time markers, the face is easy to see even under harsh environmental circumstances, suggesting that this is a suitable military watch. Casio’s decision to incorporate extraordinarily vivid LED backlighting further adds to this. Casio has thoughtfully made their buttons more difficult to press to reduce the chance of mistakenly pressing them.
Furthermore, the GW-9200 version debuted in the year 2008 was capable of receiving time- calibration radio signals from six stations located worldwide. To come with the following watch prototype Casio’s team of engineers invested the number of sleepless days and g shock watch nights. It carried out rigorous dropping tests for 200 prototypes continuously for two years. And at last, they were finally paid off for their hard work. Assuredly, they came up with a hollow watch case structure that backed all core competencies required.
I like the styling, solar & atomic timekeeping aspects of the watch but there are 2 issues that drop my rating to 3 stars. First & foremost is that for many years I’ve been using g shock watch my watches alarm function rather than an alarm clock. The alarm volume on this watch is so low that it’s useless. I’m even a light sleeper & it’s almost inaudible when I’m awake.
Combined with its green-tinted reverse LCD display and all-black body, this gives the watch a tough tactical look. This watch features an adjustable “flash alert” with LED light and buzzer for the alarms, hourly time signal, and countdown timer. Other unique features are the multi-time function that will display the time for 4 different cities and a low battery warning. You can view the data on your smartphone app, where you can see daily/weekly/monthly step counts.
Even without solar, you’re getting great value for your money with this one – especially considering that it’s often on sale for ~$60. Even with its large size, the watch has a great fit thanks to plastic wings that sit under the watch bed. The wings wrap around your wrist and provide sturdiness g shock protection to the watch so that it does not move on your wrist. The plate prevents magnetic fields from interfering with proper movement of the hands in daily use. 1/1000-second stopwatch, velocity indicator, World Time, 5 alarms and much more provides these models with unmatched function and performance.
But many of the Master of G series premium watches come close to it in size. You might also like the oversized GA100 series which are also among the biggest G-Shocks ever made. World Time – The World Time feature allows you to easily change between timezones. They usually include 31 time zones and 48 cities you can choose from. On most G-Shocks, you’ll also get the dual time feature allowing you to monitor two time zones at once. Triple Sensor G-Shocks come with Compass, Thermometer, and Altimeter/Barometer functionality – all on your wrist.
