At its most basic it is extreme shock resistance (aka “Shock Resist” as seen on the case backs) and reliable water resistance up to 200 meters. Still, for me, the alarm killed my enthusiasm for the watch. I like the solar battery part and the atomic time keeping part for accurate time. The case size is the right size for the wrist and not overly large. I like the black out writing and the way the crystal is recessed keeping it better protected. The time and date are easy to read in the daylight and the watch’s light can be set to automatically come on for up to 3 seconds for reading time in the dark. Overall the fit and function of the watch is very good, no batteries to replace, great shock and water proof rating and simple to maintain.
