At $105 to $168 for a custom Polo shirt, I feel Ralph Lauren may be negatively splitting the market. At that price, Ralph Lauren won’t be attracting the value-conscious consumer. And for the premium buyers, when they spend $150 on a designer shirt, don’t you think they might want the designer’s shirt? I could be way off base here, but most people I know willing to spend that on a shirt are buying the brand, the quality and the design. Whatever the occasion Ralph Lauren’s timeless luxury has made it one of the most recognisable brands on the planet.
