The Carbon

Long press on another button and the watch logs a position on the map, which you can then use the second hand on the watch as an indicator to guide you back. Casio’s G-Shock Rangeman offers all this and plenty more, but feels like a very serious outdoors watch. The Mudmaster takes the key features, makes them easier to use, and will appeal to anyone who enjoys a weekend hike for a few hours, and likes to add a little tech into it. No 55.4mm-wide, 53.1mm-long, and 19.3mm-thick watch will be as comfortable as the Mudmaster GG-B100.

You can compare the features of up to 3 different products at a time.

I’ve known my friend, Nathan, for the better part of ten years, and for about the last six, he’s been an avid mountain biker, pillar of the biking community in our area, and all-around good dude. We met while working at a Sears Auto Center back in the days when that existed. I was still sporting Invictas back then and thinking I was the Boss Hogg of the local watch community. We bonded over our love of motorsport, our hatred of Sears, existentialism, and, of course, watches. Personally, I like stories about watches that are worn, sometimes for years, and have the wear and tear to prove it.

While a lot of digital watches like to boast tons of features, none of those features really matter unless the timepiece’s user interface makes using those tools accessible. Casio is getting better and better about this, and it honestly makes wearing the latest technically interesting G-Shock watches all the more satisfying. A triple layered structure with a carbon fiber sheet inserted between fine resin.

Shock resistant, water resistant, and mud and dust resistant too, there’s little that will damage it. It means even if I don’t live the lifestyle that demands such a tough watch, it won’t be phased by everyday knocks and accidents. In black, the Mudmaster GG-B100 has a stealthy style and arguably the best looking of the three new models. A classic military green and black model is also available, along with a striking orange and black version. The Mudmaster has been designed to withstand the toughest of conditions.

A special vibration-resistant construction lets them stand up to wear while operating cutters, crushers, drills and other heavy machinery to clear way large obstacles. This is CASIO’s first analog watch to come with Mud Resist construction, which helps to ensure that nothing gets into the watch when down and dirty work takes you deep into the dirt and sludge. Multiple gaskets are used on the baby g shock pipes that guide buttons and shafts, which keeps mud out. These pipes not only act to protect buttons from impact, they also enhance button operation. The screw-in force of the screw lock bezel on an internal gasket further increases mud resistance. Setup is a breeze, and Casio’s Connected G-Shock app remains one of the very best examples of a watchmaker adopting Bluetooth technology.

Number next in our mention list is the G Shock Mud Master GG-B100-1ADR, a remarkable model available in 4 different color ranges. As the earlier GG model, this too offers you a lot of specifications to take advantage from. Following this, the second mention in our review list is the G-Shock Mud Master GWG A1DR, a more advanced approach to the earlier mentioned model. The Casio Gravity Defier GA1100 is a new approach to the last year’s Gravity Defier GW1100 and it comes with improved accuracy, exciting new functions and a different backpanel. As a conclusion, I consider that this is a G-Shock that has an added feel of refinement due to the design, quality of materials and incredible craftsmanship that Casio proved to be capable of.

Certainly, we see Casio continuing its iterative approach to product improvement by building on what they have done in the past — but having said that, this G-Shock is radically different from models made just a few years ago. New features, such as Casio’s use of carbon material, as well as the new case construction, mean that the look and feel of the GG-B100 are worth experiencing even if the model isn’t right for you. Casio did an excellent job, and I find myself liking the GG-B100 as a product as much as I did the G-Shock GW9400 Rangeman. The G-SHOCK Mudmaster GG-B100 is a purpose-built, bombproof watch for all outdoorsmen.

Elsewhere in watches, Hublot celebrates recreating gold crystal in the lab with limited edition Spirit of Big Bang pair. Three new Mudmaster models have become the first ever G-SHOCKs to feature forged carbon case components. The face of the watch is marked with large Arabian numerals at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock for easy reading. The face is illuminated by a Super Illuminator, high-brightness auto LED light to ensure high visibility under virtually any conditions imaginable. In addition, Twin Sensor capabilities provide instant access to direction and temperature information when needed under tough conditions.

For this reason, the watch is now called “Quad Sensor.” This adds to the existing compass, temperature, and barometer/altimeter sensors the watch also has. Other useful functions include sunrise/sunset times and the normal host of useful G-Shock features. Casio has put more focus on entirely analog or analog-digital watch dials for its fancier watches over the last few years. There are a number of reasons for it, but when it comes down to it, I think Casio is just particularly baby g shock interested in how it can combine the functionality and durability of a G-Shock with the aesthetic appeal of “real” analog dial . Hybrid dials, such as on the GG-B100 which have both analog and digital elements, are a great compromise that Japanese watchmakers have been making since the 1970s and that really hit their stride in the 1980s. The Mudmaster comes with a double LED illuminated dial, which will come in handy for those early mornings and late nights afield.

It struck him that a watch floating within a rubber case would be impervious to shocks. After a bunch of testing and design with toughness in mind, the brand baby g shock was born. Nearly 35 years and hundreds of models later, G-SHOCK is still best known for being some of the toughest, hard-wearing watches that money can buy.
