We can see Casio deployment this new tough tech to future timepieces. This is a watch for everything, and I genuinely understand why it’s got such a star rating among the watch community. OK, an entire week with only the popular G-Shock Casioak as a wrist buddy has been refreshing, but what about the dark blue suit / white shirt get-up I’ve got planned for a cocktail party? Still, in obviously increased dimensions somewhat so this does wear more significant on the wrist. Thick profile wrist watches do not bother me a bit, but if you are bothered by tall watches, then G-Shock watches would be a straight-up turn off for you. Under a macro lens you can see that the hands’ finish is a bit spotty.
If you like G-Shock, you could start a collection and use another model to utilize the digital features. The GA-2100 isn’t ideal, and depending on your requirements, you may be better off with another G-Shock model. For one, it does not have an auto light feature that allows you to turn your wrist to activate the backlight.
The manageable size of this watch is also a big plus as mentioned above. Can’t help but chuckle every time I strap this one on…. The g shock protection hands are poorly lumed and the hour markers are not treated. Instead, you get a LED light to illuminate the dial from an angle.
Still, it is far from being a dainty watch; nevertheless, the proportions will appeal to anyone with a smaller wrist. Speaking of the Baby-G, the GMAS2100-4A is a more gender-fluid timepiece, even if it is marketed to women. I mean, if Kid Cudi can appear on Saturday Night Live wearing a dress and hot pink g shock protection G-SHOCK DW-6900, any man can wear this watch to the beach without judgment. It’s the G-SHOCK GMAS2100-4A in light pink that encapsulates the perfect summer timepiece for me. The color makes a statement but without the heft of the GA2100. It also wears lighter, and like any G-SHOCK, it is built tough.
