I first smelled this in a magazine after I accidentally opened the flap. It was one of the most beautiful scents I’ve polo dress shirts smelled in a while. It’s creamy, beautiful, floral, pleasant, fresh. It reminds me of a confident and classy woman.
This fruity note gradually fades away and shifts to the scent of creamy white flowers. Last for five hours on my skin, where most of fragrances disappear in a couple of hours. The scent is a modern take on classical fragrances from 80s to my nose. Youthful and classic at the same time if it makes sense. RL Woman is a very pretty white floral with hints of gourmand and juicy fresh fruit.
Towards the heart, it becomes ever so slightly sweet, which will be sure to appeal to the current market. The dry-down is a very safe blend of softened pear, orange blossom and sandalwood. To me, smells like a clean, mature woman. I get pear and rhubarb most of the way through. It isn’t unpleasant but isn’t anything special either. I think I’d enjoy it more if the top notes were more in balance with the middle and base notes, as I definitely prefer it after it’s been mellowing for a good while.
Very classy beautiful scent, I’ll be taking it into fall. They say golden themed fragrances are marketed to a more ‘mature’ audience and I’m sure that’s the intent, though in this case I have to say Woman appears to me rather ageless. Not old fashioned or heavy in any way, yet warm and welcoming and oh-so feminine.

Ralph Lauren fragrances never fail to impress me but this is something else! I’m gonna play around with some Combos and see what I get. I’ll try Tom Fords Tobacco Vanille, which I’m loving for fall right now and another time I’ll see what wood scents from Jo Malone might do with this. Although it’s great on its own, I’d like a little more personalization of it for fall. Woman is unpleasantly sweet and cloying, not my sort of fragrance at all.
As far as florals go this one is quite lovely if inoffensive, uncomplicated, and rather innocent as well. This Ralph Lauren Woman is quite young but over 18, under 30, inexperienced but getting there. The flowers fade into the background and then you detect hazelnut Polo Ralph Lauren t shirt and woodsy notes. The wood is not big and in fact it’s quite clean, a tad soapy and a good finish to a simple scent. This smells like a more mature version of Britney Spear’s Curious. The pear and tuberose notes really stand out to me in both fragrances.
Finding a new scent tends to be a challenge for me but not this time. So I went to the wrist test and walked around and shopped for a little while longer. I continued to love this scent on me and even as it evolved and settled in I still loved it . I’m wearing it as I sit here in the winter doldrums and it cheers me up and amazingly it doesn’t turn or disappear on me like many scents do. To me this scent is soft, sexy and like a taking a nice deep breath on a sunny spring day.
