Whenever I get a new green juice scent first thing comes to mind is this Polo green. Don’t listen to the reviewers harping on and on about how superior previous versions are .
When it dries down it evolves into elegant leather that’s still infused with green. Some one said that it smells like death. I completely agree because it is plain herbal smell with no unpleasant or pleasant effect. This neutrality gives it a status of ‘only for men’. My perfume journey started with this perfume around 25 years ago.

I’ll be the first to say it; there is not only nothing wrong for a man to dress like a man, but more importantly, it is the way you should be dressing. Let’s just say it works well in alignment with the rules of fit, balance and proportion- not to mention the male anatomy. I put a little of the after shave balm on and wherever I went it left an odor trail. All and all, a lovely scent that will be around for decades, those that want a “modern” perfume, go to the corner CVS and get a cheap AXE. There is no age for a great fragrance, and Polo is one of those ageless perfumes that will become a classic.
This is deffo not an everyday perfume. To me it’s a special occasional one. You wear it if you want to celebrate something. To me, it smelled like nothing else.
And this will last all day into the next day. The sillage and longevity of this beast are the best that I have. I can’t compare it to the original as I’m only thirty, I get mixed reviews from people but me and my Mrs love it. I mainly wear this as an everyday cologne outside of work/office settings. It is my signature scent and although I’ve seen mixed comments about the formula changing, it seems similar to me.
This is a love from me and I believe that if you love greenness, nature and green, spicy, herbal, grassy fragrances generally, ralph lauren t shirt then you will love this. Definitely one to try and wear first. Still a great and unique smell even today.
You’ll need a few Oxford shirts as well. Solids are good, but be sure to pick up a few stripes as well. A couple of wide striped classic fit cotton tees will always be a great choice.
When I catch a wiff of this, man it smells so manly. Considering the overall profile of this scent, I’d recommend it for formal or semi formal occasions, day and night, spring, fall and winter. But, I have difficulties getting over the “green swamp opening” and that’s the reason I can only give it a “like” or “ok” instead of a “love”. If you want to smell very classic , this is a good choice. Performance is good; projection is excellent, and it lasted about six hours on me.
