The bottle itself says that it’s a woody fragrance but I don’t detect any wood. To me this is a fruity floral which is casually elegant and suitable for office wear. So I love a good blind buy (I’m okay with it if that makes me terrible), but I actually found a sample of this in an old Vogue of mine. I knew I liked it immediately and had it down in a journal as a potential 4 star buy. I actually find woman to be a gorgeously neutral scent, despite it’s very specifically gendered name.

Not a fan of tuberose, but this one is bearable, being more into the soft and creamy zone. Opens up tuberosy a la Tresor de Lancome and it settles immediately into a creamy, sweet skin scent. Then the scene is ready for the rose, it’s what gives that nice sweet warm feeling.
Ralph usually delivers a creative and quality made product that does not disappoint , and this one is an absolute winner for me. I do really like the notes, but there is a synthetic smell to my nose that I can’t deal with. I commented a while back that a sample of this perfume reminded me of talcum powder too much for me to use (it’s the type of perfume to give me a headache). Well, I wound up giving the sample to my mom, who likes those types of scents . I completely forgot about that perfume until I smelled Woman and it just hit me down the memory lane! I could not place it at first and identify where I felt this scent before, but now I think it’s just like LBD.
Upon first application, the orange blossom really stands out on my skin; it actually takes over the other notes. As it’s settling, I get more of the hazelnuts and some woods along with the fruity nuances. To me, it smells like a floral-fruity gourmand. I can see a little bit of similarity with Angel Muse; they both have that nuttiness in them, they’re kinda like distant cousins. This one isn’t nearly a powerhouse though.
