Cuisinart Air Fryer Toaster Oven Review
We’ve used the Cuisinart CPT-122 in our Wirecutter test kitchen since March 2018 (though it hasn’t been touched since March 2020, when our office closed due to the pandemic). It’s probably gotten less use than it would get at home, but the toaster has held up well so far. All of the printing is still intact, and none of cuisinart soup maker the labels show any signs of wearing off. The slots on the Cuisinarts are considerably deeper than those on the Oster Jelly Bean, and they leave no white tops. Motorized levers can lift and lower your toast at the press of a button, which is spiffy. But the process takes longer than just manually pressing down a lever.
Convection toaster oven is a toaster oven featuring a built-in fan to circulate hot air around and over the food more evenly. Besides toasting bread, it also excels at baking, reheating, and roasting. It has a large capacity but a relatively small footprint, thus saving crucial counter space. When it comes to selecting functions, it’s smart enough to present a full range of menu options, including convection settings and programmable cooking functions.
Within just a few minutes, your toaster oven should be hot enough to prepare a whole batch of muffins. Don’t get me wrong – the Cuisinart-60 Air Fryer/Toaster Oven is a great kitchen workhorse. It gives you lots of cooking options, a large enough cooking area, and quick cooking times. It’s certainly not as good as the big ol’ Breville Smart Oven Air — although it’s still great for a dual-function air fryer toaster oven. The Breville BTA840XL Die-Cast 4-Slice Smart Toaster was hands down the best toaster we tested, but we’re not confident it will last long enough to justify its exorbitant price. The model we’ve been long-term testing since 2018 is still working well.

The Breville Smart Oven Pro is an ideal medium-size model that does quite well across all cooking tasks. We’re especially impressed by its ability to customize its cooking functions to a greater degree than most competitors. The first thing most people consider when shopping for a kitchen appliance is the price. We know that you likely have a budget, so we always consider value for money. Opting to use a toaster oven over a standard oven can also have an impact on your energy consumption.
