The quality is good, and it certainly gives the GA-2100 a completely different look depending on the dial colour you use as the donor watch. With that case shape and integrated bracelet, if you like to wear your watches snug on your wrist, you will need a large wrist not to have this wear slightly loose. For comparison, my wrist is 7.5, and I felt it wore fine, but I do tend to wear my watches on bracelets somewhat looser than my strapped watches. A new carbon core guard structure protects the module by enclosing it in a carbon case. The case is made of fine resin embedded with carbon fibers for outstanding strength and crack resistance. As we expect, the watch is digital, but still presents the analog time with an hour and minutes hand.
The G-SHOCK GA-2100 doesn’t all the digital bells and whistles associated with the brand. It’s form-follows-function minimalism combined with G-SHOCK durability, reliability and rugged good looks. I have small hands and a relatively narrow 6.5” wrist – not the best place to put a large, chunky watch. And then the G-SHOCK GA-2100 series caught my eye – and fit my wrist.
