When your child is ready, it converts to a belt-positioning booster from lb, then to a backless booster seat from lb. In addition, the Argos had a headrest restriction, meaning you could only use the lower four headrest positions in harnessed mode. The Nautilus 65 LX allows use of the headrest in any position for harnessed mode. That means less confusion and misuse for the parent. It’s a nice seat, but after a little while of use the straps got hard to pull tight. My husband picked this out to save a few bucks and now regrets it.

You can have it switched from a car seat to a booster seat in about 5 minutes. I don’t know what the heck happened to mine before it got here but wow when I seen the box while walking up to my house I seen the car seat the box was so beat up!. I almost swapped it for a new on at our local Walmart but when I opened and checked out the car seat it seemed to be fine and there were no scratches. Given that this seat is meant to grow with your baby, a close crotch strap can be a bit discomforting for older kids. Although this is manageable, it would have been better if the strap had an adjustment. Like any other car safety seats, there are a few areas users have complained about when using the Nautilus LX 65; one of the closeness of the crotch strap. Instead, you can grab the handle and pull up shoulder straps and headrest to create more room for your growing kid.
