My daughter-in-law usually has small babies and I am pretty sure the newborn will have no problem fitting comfortably in this car seat. It feels well cushioned, I don’t feel any of the hardness of the shell that is underneath. I got this car seat as a Spark Reviewer, but if I would have paid for it, it would be well worth the money. Infant car seats are essential — you won’t be able to leave the hospital without a rear-facing car seat on hand or installed in your car.
