I think every man should own a bottle of this and Aramis. It is simply a CLASSIC ,mature,clean, strong but a common and dated fragrance. I enjoy it very much but I try not to wear this if i’m polo dress shirts in a romantic scenario as it just smells too predictable and accessible. I just scored a 16oz bottle of this great fragrance in an auction for 80$ and it’s the WarnerLauren juice WOW!!
When I catch a wiff of this, man it smells so manly. Whenever I get a new green juice scent first thing comes to mind is this Polo green. Considering the overall profile of this scent, I’d recommend it for formal or semi formal occasions, day and night, spring, fall and winter. But, I have difficulties getting over the “green swamp opening” and that’s the reason I can only give it a “like” instead of a “love”. this stuff is much more powerful and smells more natural than the present day Polo. Just got a 2.0 oz splash bottle of the Cosmair version of After Shave. It smells exactly what I remember back in the day, but the silage is only several hours if that, not quite as long as the the EDT. What I ralph lauren t shirt really would like to know is in what respects does the “Modern Reserve” differ to the “After Shave” splash on, and the “EDT”? I think this fragrance is genius, and, smelled without any period associations, is an amazing, unique smell. Conifers and forests, Scottish heather and golf courses.
It’s not exact but the dominant notes are there. I love this perfume but i did not buy because of poor longevity , surprisingly I found a matching Attar from my local store and that has crazy longevity . My Mrs hates it but I keep going back to it for more. Not an everyday one for me it has a time and place and will last me for ages. I don’t think anybody will think you smell good.
So I do think it comes across as a lot more balanced and richer now. I’m not sure why this scent is so polarizing, but it definitely can be too overwhelming for some occasions. It’s just such an amazing green leathery tobacco-ey scent that smells like money to me. Polo Ralph Lauren t shirt I still have about 5 mL left in my 1995 bottle, so I can’t judge the current formulation. This 90’s batch is incredibly powerful, long lasting, and rich. An all time classic, although not one that fits well with many occasions due to it’s strength and complexity.
