I haven’t worn it, but usually on skin, fragrances are even better so I’m gonna go ahead and say that I love it. Versatile Pine made slightly warmer with light leather at the drydown. First minute or so after spray it smells so fresh.
It was the only fragrance I wore until 1994 when my girlfriend bought me Dolce and Gabbana Pour Homme. I quite enjoyed it—and man has it changed too— but it took a backseat to Polo Green. I wore Polo for about 20 years but it just kept going through reformulations and it is now a watered down, quality stripped shell of the original. It’s Polo, but a cheap imitation of it. It lost that something special, those truly rich and deep notes.
With that much detail into something so small, you can see how the brand cares about every little aspect of your Polo shirt. Classic fit polos provide the roomiest fit for a relaxed and comfortable style. Since the 70s, we have added new styles including the signature men’s slim fit polo shirts.
Smells green all day long – if you would like something more cleaner and less daring then floris 1962 is an option. A true Masterpiece of art in fragrance. All others should bow down before the great green Polo god. There are more than enough reviews here covering the way it smells, so I won’t go into that, except to say that this smells fantastic. Another old-school powerhouse I am very glad to have added to my growing collection. If it makes me smell “dated,” I am perfectly happy with smelling that way.
It’s a very interesting and unique classic scent that’s worth trying just for the sake of your fragrance culture. Growing up in a catholic country, when I was a kid, some groups would have ralph lauren t shirt religious figures going house to house for pray-overs. One I remember was of the Virgin Mary. They give out some green cotton doused with minty green oil, and this reminds me of that.
