I didn’t trust it to not be hitting out so I replaced it although I used the waffle plates on it first nd it worked great. There is great temperature control and I have cooked both and the grill had done an excellent job. I find that you don’t need to presoak wooden skewers in the water before grilling them on the Griddler. You definitely do if you will be cooking kabobs in the oven or on the grill. The slight tilt of this 5-in-1 griddler results in better drainage than older versions, but it causes liquid scrambled eggs to run off the griddle when in open mode. I’ve been thinking about which Panini press to get it and this one certainly seems worth the extra cost.

I was lazy and we didn’t keep our older griddler as clean as we could. I bought waffle plates tonie with it an decided what the heck, buy another griddler. I had couple of instances where the old ones heating controls were suspect.
