the first time I ever smelled this fragrance was when I was a little girl, about 4/5 years old. Fragrances like this are a symbol of maturity and a solid strong personality; just made for men that are not looking for compliments but to wear the fragrance Polo Ralph Lauren t shirt they only appreciate and love. It will create an aura of old man though. I’m thinking 50+ with a limp and a beer belly. Definitely clean shaven, maybe a mustache. I mean, I do like it and will probably buy a bottle, but I have a few years before I get there. Lately, it seems like every other fragrance either smells too much alike, doesn’t perform or starts out unique and then simmers down to the same old base notes.
Initially it’s a blast of pine, but that passes quickly, and then it’s straight up tobacco (to my nose, the wife says “pine”). I didn’t care for it at first, but with each successive wear, it’s wearing me down. I now find it intriguing and want to get to know it better. One spritz of this to the neck/chest lasts for a very long time. Fall and Winter only for this bad boy, and days vs. nights. Any alternate option for polo green ?
I really love this fragrance but performance for me is disappointing, I currently have 2018 batch . First thing that hit me was a blast of tobacco; not the fresh kind, but resinous, dried tobacco. Took me right back to my polo dress shirts grandmother’s house, sitting next to her while she smoked. (Though Polo itself is not smoky.) Amazing what scents can do to your memories. Once it dried down, it turned into a mix of black pepper and a freshly mowed lawn.
