I suppose Polo is a true classic as it doesn’t smell dated or out of place to me compared to others that were released around this time. It’s a bold, very masculine scent. It’s in the same vein as Quorum but comes off more classy and refined to me.
One spritz of this to the neck/chest lasts for a very long time. Fall and Winter only for this bad boy, and days vs. nights. The best scent I have ever smelled. It’s my signature scent and I have almost 40 fragrances so I Polo Ralph Lauren t shirt have tried a lot. Still, it’s not a blind buy because the smell is so distinct. It’s very green, very woody, and there’s a heaping helping of leather and tobacco hanging out very presently to support those green notes.
It lasts 4-6 hours on my skin with 2-3 sprays, and 8-10 hours with 5-6 sprays. Projection is at least arms length throughout.It even has lasted 2 days on fabric. I just bought a bottle a week ago and it’s now my go-to fragrance every morning. I’ve received so many compliments, I think this would be an office or school safe fragrance. I love it but you have to be in the right mood and the right state polo dress shirts of mind for this, a old school swagger. It defiantly has a wisened gentlemanly feel too it. Like a old library or cigar bar or antique store kind of vibe. Heavy on the pine needles, and a almost burnt out, tar like campfire smell.
Definitely one to try and wear first. Still a great and unique smell even today. Of course I loved this back when I was in college.
