Giant Atx 2 27 5 M Neon Orange Mountain Bike

There are no structural changes to the Anthem 29er frame for 2020, but Giant has several new models coming out this year, including this sleek silver bullet; the Advanced Pro 29 2. Coming in at a very reasonable $5,200, this carbon Anthem puts the emphasis on no-nonsense performance with Shimano Deore disc brakes, a Fox fork and shock, and the brand new SLX 1×12 drivetrain. There’s a smattering of Giant in-house parts that aren’t to giant KIDS BIKES be sneezed at, like the XCR 1 wheelset that uses the new-generation hookless carbon rims. Designed to be light, fast and efficient, this Anthem also looks like it’ll offer rock-solid durability too. Even at that price, you’re still getting a dropper post, sticky Maxxis tyres, and a chunky 35mm fork up front. Coming in at less than half the cost of the flagship Reign E+, the new Stance E+ 2 hits a much more accessible price point.

The frame is designed with trail-friendly geometry that includes a slack 66-degree head angle and a 130mm suspension fork. By combining an aluminum frame and fork with name- and house-brand components, Giant has built a dependable giant mountain bike suitable for most types of road riding. An 8-speed cassette includes a 34t cog that’s smaller than what you’ll usually find on comparable bikes and is great for new or seasoned riders who like an extra gear when climbing.

The first Giant-branded bikes came onto the market in 1981, first in Taiwan and then in Europe, North America and elsewhere around the world. For over four decades Giant has been devoted to bicycles and cycling. At Giant, the two-wheeler is more than just a machine; it’s changing the world, and a way to extend the boundaries of your world, too. Giant combines their passion with industry-leading materials, manufacturing and design, resulting in some of the world’s finest bicycles.

There’s a lot to love about the TCR Advanced Pro 1 Disc, one of the more affordable models in Giant’s TCR range. The bike’s Shimano Ultegra drivetrain and wide-range cassette give you all the gears you need to take on any terrain, even after a hard day. Ultegra hydraulic disc brakes offer great modulation and reliable stopping performance every time.

These are sometimes called “endurance” bikes because riders end up taking them out for hours at a time. The Defy and Avail are endurance road bikes that prioritize rider comfort. The frame is designed with more vertical compliance than the TCR or Propel to reduce fatigue on long rides or rough roads. They use more relaxed geometry with a longer wheelbase and lower bottom bracket for more stability, and more stack for an upright riding position.

If you are looking for something perfect for mid-level riders then look no further than the Giant Talon. The build is stable and the geometry results in better stand over. There’s also a women’s specific version from Liv, which is built upon the same fundamentals as the Giant Stance E+. That means you’re getting the same 400Wh integrated battery pack, the 80nM SyncDrive Sport motor, and a relatively good-looking hydroformed alloy frame. For those who want to explore singletrack while getting a little extra assistance for the climbs, this looks like a comfortable and competent option to ease you into the world of mountain biking. Giant & Liv have just launched their 2020 mountain bike range, and we’ve gone through the whole lot to give you our pick of the bunch for what’s coming your way this season.
