Radically Durable Casio G
Battery life is rated at around one and a half days if you’re using the color display, extending to up to a month if you only use the watch for timekeeping and sensors. However, when the first Casio G Shock was invented it was not much favoured by the people. Though the case was very practical and utilitarian but was not appealing.
The GDX has a 10-year battery, and the size is fine for my wrist. I have the blacked-out version, and have no problem reading the negative display. I think it’s a discontinued model, but it’s a really nice watch and a great addition to my collection. All G-Shock watches have batteries, even the Tough Solar models. Regular quartz battery will last anywhere between 2 and 10 years, depending on how much you use the backlight of the watch.
Each Casio G-Shock watch comes packaged in its own presentation box, making it a great gift for yourself or someone you love. G-Shock GA-2000 Series uses a carbon core guard structure which is the newer, “third material” that the watches are being made of besides resin and metal. The carbon is the best of both worlds – lighter than metal, baby g shock but more durable than resin. In addition to the full-steel construction, this watch was also the first square to have Bluetooth. You can connect it to your phone and adjust the time, world time, countdown, timer, and alarms all from the app. Bluetooth also provides reminder alerts, time and place log, and the phone finder function.
The latter can be customized by setting a different time zone from your own. In addition, the dial is excellently protected, thanks to the mineral glass. Hands-Free Backlight – Common feature, especially on solar models.
Wearing a watch is necessary otherwise I’d never know what time it was without first locating my glasses and that my friend is just too much work for me in the late night hours. Most of my watches are big and bulky so perhaps this is the reason. In the 1990s the G-Shock designs expanded and added colors, styles and materials as well as the Baby-G women’s line. “Those are the flashy tests,” Mr. Abe said, “but there are less flashy ones that are even more important, so the customers feel safe” in trusting the brand. He was involved in the creation of the Gravitymaster model GWR-B1000X, the sleeker, lighter model of G-Shock that was scheduled to be introduced at Baselworld this week, priced at 120,000 Japanese yen.
