This once again proves that this car seat can be used for all different shapes and sizes. Hopefully, fingers crossed, they can even snooze on your trip, whether it’s 5 minutes or 12 hours. The Graco Extend2Fit is definitely a strong contender in the car seat market and you can see why many parents choose this car seat over its competition. This car seat may also be the perfect solution to ensuring your child is in the safer rear-facing position for a longer period of time (up until they are 50lbs!).
but you can not tell me this was made by a parent or with parents in mind. I’m now looking for a new car seat with a different brand. I purchased this Extend2Fit several months ago and have installed it a few times in my Ford Escape (mid-size SUV). Granted, I’m a short and not so fit woman, but still! It fits pretty well in my SUV in the rear facing mode. The passenger’s seat can’t recline super far, but it’s still enough space up front for a full grown man.
I bought a Safety 1st Grow and Go as a backup carseat for my MIL a couple months ago, and I must say, I like that one even better than this one! It’s just as difficult to install, but it’s easier to strap the baby in, and it is just as comfortable. Secondly, a no-rethread harness also features a patented system – Simply Safe Adjust™ so you can adjust the harness and graco booster seat headrest in one motion only. Additionally, the seat includes harness storage pockets to keep the harness out of the way while you’re accommodating your little one. Trust us, if you need a car seat, this deal is too good to pass up. For forward facing installation there are again two different ways to achieve installation properly, the LATCH and the seat belt method.
I love that they don’t expire fora whole ten years. They are pretty much the only car seat you graco jogging stroller will ever need. My only complaint is that that they are SO heavy and difficult to install.
With the Graco Extend2Fit you are going to need to buy a booster seat when the kids get older which is another cost. The Graco Extend 2Fit only has two 2 options. The first option is rear facing for infants 4 to 50 lbs. The second option is forward-facing toddlers from lb. Once your son or daughter hit 65 pounds or more you are going to have to buy a booster seat which is going to cost you more. Some kids are taller or heavier than others, so finding a car seat that supports their weight and height can be a challenge.
