Yes it is potent, but that is the point. The virility expressed through potency in this cologne is matched by the uber masculine green-oakmoss accord. I really don’t know about the reformulation. The bottle polo dress shirts I have is recent and superb. Let me put it this way, if it is reformulated just think of it as a new perfume and it would stand head and shoulders above any new release or any of the new Tom Ford Fougeres.
This scent is soo good and takes me back. Every time I spray it, I think of my friend, and playing with our Star Wars figures back in the day, which is nice. Everyone needs a few anchor-points back to their young and carefree days, and funnily enough, Polo Green has become one of mine from a Polo Ralph Lauren t shirt memory I will always look back on with a smile. My poor ERG forever stunk of Polo Green after that, the smell literally never vanished! Back in the day this stuff was a whole forest crushed and compressed into liquid form and then crammed into a bottle! My uncles signature for over 30 years.
