You do need to make sure that your anchor spacing in your vehicle is correct. There must be exactly eleven inches from the middle of one anchor to the graco travel system middle of the other anchor. If there isn’t this spacing or you don’t have anchors, then you need to use the second method- the seatbelt method.
Check your manual but you should definitely consider rear-facing until a minimum of 4 years old. Seat belt installation rear-facing is where you might struggle. The belt path is smaller than it is in the forward-facing position, so threading it can be challenging.
The button is under the seat cover and a little hard to get to. The manual does describe how to do it but to me it was not clear. And another thing I don’t like is that it looks like the seat cover will be hard to remove to wash it. But again the manual shows step by step instructions so it should not be too hard. Now, most parents will fall in the second category.
