Men’s Polo

Yes it is potent, but that is the point. The virility expressed through potency in this cologne is matched by the uber masculine green-oakmoss accord. I really don’t know about the reformulation. The bottle I have is recent and superb. Let me put it this way, if it is reformulated just think of it as a new perfume and it would stand head and shoulders above any new release or any of the new Tom Ford Fougeres.

Drawing on his interests in sports, Lauren named his first full line of menswear “Polo” in 1968. He worked out of a single “drawer” from a showroom in the Empire State Building and made deliveries to stores himself. Polo Ralph Lauren – the flagship brand of the company. In 2014, the Ralph Lauren Corporation partnered with the Royal Marsden, the largest and most comprehensive cancer center in Europe, to develop a world-class breast cancer research facility.

It was Lauren’s introduction of softer, more comfortable fabrics at a time when Americans had the money and the time to enjoy out-of-work activities that made his name synonymous with American leisure. A champion of smart-casual, every rake who both appreciates his history and knows polo dress shirts how to enjoy the present should have some Ralph Lauren staples in his wardrobe. The first Ralph Lauren fragrances, produced by Warner-Lauren, Ltd. were launched at Bloomingdale’s in March 1978. Lauren, a fragrance for women, on March 12 and Polo, cologne for men, on March 26.

With that much detail into something so small, you can see how the brand cares about every little aspect of your Polo shirt. Classic fit polos provide the roomiest fit for a relaxed and comfortable style. Since the 70s, we have added new styles including the signature men’s slim fit polo shirts.

While Paco Rabanne Pour Homme turns sweet and musky, Polo stays more green, mossy and earthy, more outdoorsy and crisp. I definitely get some caraway or cumin, and tobacco . But there is also just a hint of sweetness in the background that binds together the green, earthy and spicy notes. But those Polo Ralph Lauren t shirt who grew tired of its ubiquitous presence 3 decades ago, should reassess Polo, having had enough time elapse to heal those wounds that result from our reactions to something all too familiar. (This can also be said for many popular “men’s powerhouse fragrances” from the late 70’s and 80’s).

It’s a very interesting and unique classic scent that’s worth trying just for the sake of your fragrance culture. Growing up in a catholic country, when I was a kid, some groups would have religious figures going house to house for pray-overs. One I remember was of the Virgin Mary. They give out some green cotton doused with minty green oil, and this reminds me of that.

I started wearing this amazing scent in college in the early 80’s. It was my only fragrance for 30 years. I have gone through so many bottles, I have lost count. The Warner bottles were the best fragrance ever made. Every time I purchased a bottle, I would be gifted Polo bags and other gifts .

A class in a bottle, stands on its own and is a trendsetter – a one and only green and leather chypre with a huge load of tobacco. This is the worst fragrance I’ve ever smelled. I’m not sure what went wrong – but I don’t believe people actually wear whatever I smelled. This fragrance screams ‘Grandfather’ to me. It has a very classic scent that smells like a well put together older gentleman.

I can’t imagine any occasion that would be suitable for it and it smells way too outdated. The dark grey suit and lace-up leather shoes come next with the tortoise-shell rimmed glasses and that handsome mustache neatly polo dress shirts trimmed. It has a great longevity and good sillage. I don’t know why i was not interested in that perfume. Bought a travel spray out of a gift set. I think this is what Quorum wants to smell like but is harsher.

Honestly it reminds me of a smoky single malt scotch with a medicinal aura about it. Use it sparingly and the colder outside the better. I wore this infrequently in high school and only recently reacquired it. I loved it for its masculine juniper and pine as a child, and now I appreciate the subtle backbone of leather. This is a clean, older-style scent, and is very much in my wheelhouse as a result.
