The brand has a versatile portfolio, from musical instruments and digital cameras to analogue and digital watches.
It came with a titanium screw-back case – an unusually high-cost design. The Frogman proved to be very popular and at some point between then and 1995 Casio decided to produce more variations, including limited edition colours that in some cases have become very valuable. The watch is designed to withstand harsh conditions with dust- and dirt-proof, mud-resistant construction, low-temperature resistance down to -20°C (-4°F), a carbon fiber insert band, and sapphire crystal. The Rangeman is one of Casio’s best professional-grade digital G-Shock models. It boasts Triple Sensors, which include an altitude measurer and pressure barometer, on top of the direction and thermo sensors.
Firstly, the resin case construction is raised above the screen in order to keep it protected. On top of the bezel, you will also find information about what each pusher does so you can easily know which button g shock protection does what. The Rangeman has one large pusher at 3 o’clock with which you cycle through the sensor function modes. The other pushbuttons are used for regular functions such as modes, adjusting, and reverse.
This means the Mudman has a compass and a thermometer sensor. The Rangeman has more technical features than the Mudman overall. It also has a more effective World Time due to its Atomic Timekeeping capabilities, and a more instinctual digital compass. At g shock watch the push of a button (seeing a theme here?), you can access an easy-to-use digital compass in both the Rangeman and the Mudman. Relatedly, the Rangeman comes in a negative display variant, which means the digits are white and the background is dark.
With the large variety of wristwatches and their commitment to progress, it is no surprise Casio has remained amongst the giants in the industry. It does not measure up to the tough construction and the highly interesting mixture of g shock protection functions. Having the Rangeman marketed as a watch for survival in the toughest conditions while the much-too-low zoom factor in navigation could easily lure one up the wrong flank of a mountain, however, makes me doubt Casio a bit.
The GGB100-1B has Two-Way Time Sync, a brilliant G-Shock feature in which low-power Bluetooth allows synchronizing with smartphones via an app as well as locking onto Multi-Band 6 Atomic Timekeeping for self-adjustment. This ensures your Mudmaster maintains accuracy down to the second no matter where you are. A CasiOak will do fine on a run if you need it for that, but if you have older, tried-and-true all-digital sport watches like the 5600 or 6900 in your lineup, you’ll probably prefer those. The CasiOak feels much more like a style play in the form of a touch sport watch.
