When I catch a wiff of this, man it smells so manly. Whenever I get a new green juice scent first thing comes to mind is this Polo green. Considering the overall profile of this scent, I’d recommend it for formal or semi formal occasions, day and night, spring, fall and winter. But, I have difficulties getting over the “green swamp opening” and that’s the reason I can only give it a “like” instead of a “love”. Real man’s scent and defo not like the blue scents. The first time was 16 years old stealing a sniff from dad’s bottle and recalling it was extremely strong and pungent. 30 years later finally acquired a bottle of my own and it smells different than my memory.
There is no more iconic bottle in all of perfumery. Very similar to Paco Rabanne pour homme but it lasts much longer and doesn’t have that gross soapy opening pour homme does. I wear this a few times Polo Ralph Lauren t shirt a month but with the current formulation I can get 12 hours out of this. This is a scent I’ve been wearing since the early 90s. The original powerhouse formulation would fill the whole room.
It will create an aura of old man though. I’m thinking 50+ with a limp and a beer belly. Definitely clean shaven, maybe a mustache. I mean, I do like it and will probably buy a bottle, but I have a few years before I get there. Lately, it seems like every other fragrance either smells too much alike, doesn’t perform or starts out unique and then simmers down to the same old base notes.
